Remember however, in the event of a rainout or cancellation, it is at the promoter’s discretion to reschedule the event. For example, if we are rained out and the promoter chooses to reschedule for the next open date, we will do so. We will do everything in our power to run all of the scheduled events, even if this means rescheduling the date.

LAST LAP PASS GIVES HAMMER WIN AT FAIRBURY
(May 30, 2009) - The KidModz had their biggest turnout of the season on Saturday night at the Fairbury Speedway with six KidModz on hand. After the draw for starting spots, Kyle Hammer and Heidi Goodman would be the front row of the eight lap heat race. Goodman would get out to a three car length lead with Hammer settling in in second. Behind them a good battle for third between Jake Griffin and Logan Moody. Griffin, who started fifth, caught Hammer with two laps to go as they went side by side for second. As the field took the white flag Hammer would have to slow for the slower car of Blake Vinson, who was making his KidModz debut, which allowed Griffin to get by as they headed for turn one for the final time. It was all Goodman up front as she took the heat race win followed by Griffin, Hammer, Moody, Jeffrey Ledford, and Vinson.
After another draw for starting positions, Hammer and Vinson would lead the field to the green in the fifteen lap feature. Hammer would jump out to the early lead followed by Griffin and Goodman. Hammer would continue to lead the field as Goodman closes on Griffin for second and makes the pass on lap four. Griffin would stay with Goodman as they have a great battle for second as they cross the line side by side on lap seven. Griffin would get by Goodman on the backstretch but coming out of four Griffin would hit the tractor tire on the inside of the track as Goodman would go by as Griffin slows as the caution comes out.
Once back to racing Goodman would close on Hammer and follow his every move. Behind the leaders a good battle for third between Griffin and Moody. Goodman continues to shadow Hammer as Griffin gets around Moody for third with four to go. Goodman would then close to Hammer's bumper and get to the inside going into turn one with three to go. Goodman would then lead laps thirteen and fourteen and it looked like she would get another win but coming out of turn four to take the checkered flag, Goodman goes high and allows Hammer to get to her inside and Hammer edges Goodman at the line for the win followed by Griffin, Moody, and Vinson. Ledford, who had problems as the field was taking their parade laps in the heat race, did not come out for the feature.
KIDMODZ SERIES NOW ALLOWS STOCK UMP LEGAL FRAMES
(May 26, 2009) - The founders of the KidModz Series Bob and Angie Pierce, along with Don and Bonny Hammer, have tried to think of solutions to upping the KidModz car count. The only resolution we've come up with is to open the class to any UMP legal modified chassis whether it be stock front clip or tubular. With this in mind, families should be able to come into this class at a real affordable price. We believe anyone that has watched the KidModz will agree, these kids put on a heck of a show, and have proven the concept of the KidModz Series to be the stepping stone into modified and late model drivers of the future. The idea with the KidModz frames were to eliminate the stock subframe, however with the times being so tough, it's time to open this class up. We would like to welcome any families interested.
Also, remember this is a class for kids, if these kids can meet the driving requirements, we've been allowing down to 9 years of age. Any UMP modified will be legal. The following KidModz safety options are required: outside door bars, 12 gallon fuel cell, and steel door plate.
Families should be able to acquire a good used modified roller at an affordable price, make a few minor conversions, pick up a stock Ford 2300 motor, and be ready to race. Don't worry about souped up motors outrunning you, we have put a restrictor rule in place to insure equality among the motors.
Anyone interested please call Angie at 217-354-2972. Please help us make this class a success. The kids are counting on us.

2009 SEASON KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND
(April 7, 2009) - We will kick off our 2009 racing season on Friday, April 10 at the Farmer City Raceway and Saturday, April 11 at the Lincoln Speedway.
30 events are scheduled this season with points awarded for the best 24 finishes. This allows 6 throw outs throughout the season. The UMP DIRTcar Series will once again sponsor our trophies, however we have asked them to cut back to just a first place trophy instead of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to allow for more purse money. This will allow $100 per event for purse money along with any other sponsor we acquire for each event!
Each driver must now be a UMP DIRTcar member. This will give each driver $100,000 insurance coverage on top of what the track offers. More information on this will be given at a later date.
